Husson routs Lyndon

 

Husson University jumped out to a 62-40 halftime lead and coasted to a 100-78 North Atlantic Conference victory over Lyndon Saturday at Stannard Gymnasium.

Bethany Sevey had 25 points, 12 rebounds and two steals to lead the Eagles, and Amanda Gifford had 21 points and seven rebounds. Caitlyn Butterfield tossed in 12 points for Husson while the tandem of Noelle Lincoln and Megan Murray had 11 points each in the contest.

Murray also grabbed seven rebounds in the win and Kelli Murray handed out a game-high seven assists. With the win Husson improved to 10-10 on the season overall and 8-1 in the NAC.

For the Hornets, Naomi White had 20 points while Donna Lawson collected 16 points, 11 rebounds and four steals. Ariel McConkey added 13 points and four steals off the bench for the Hornets and the duo of Stephanie Barclay and Morgan Diltz dished out a team-high four assists each.

Danielle LaFont had 10 points for Lyndon who fell to 9-9 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
