Intramural Hoops Gets Jump-Started
Intramural basketball is starting to heat up after quite a full week, with some teams even playing twice.
The action all started with an overtime contest to open up the week. Team Robichaud defeated Vicious 'N Delicious 58-54 after both teams were knotted up at 52 when the regulation buzzer sounded. Justin Winston led the way for Robichaud with 22 points, including four of the team's six points in overtime.
In the closest matchup of the week, Team Robichaud played another close one, this time against the E-Lemon-ators. Robichaud was able to squeeze out a 58-57 win, once again thanks to Winston. This time he was able to rip off 40 points, including seven three-pointers.
There were six other games played within the week, including a couple of squads getting a second shot at glory or redemption. Most of these remaining games featured one-sided affairs. Winners of those games were the E-Lemon-ators, Team Jobin, Off Constantly (twice), Shred City, and Vicious 'N Delicious.
